3D & 4D Baby Scans

Meet The Team

Pamela Thompson

Co-owner and Lead Sonographer

Myself and what I enjoy

I live with my partner Mark and between us we have 6 daughters. I love spending time with my family and Merl the dog. Merl takes me on lots of walks and I also like to go to spin class to keep fit. We have a campervan and when I’m not working at Miracle Within I am usually having a few days away. Mark and I also love going to music events and comedy shows. We have seen many bands and comedians!

My career as a Sonographer

After being qualified as a Radiographer for 14 years I began training as a Sonographer and qualified in 2010 after successfully completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound from Leeds University. I trained at Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust and since then I have worked at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Trust and then Mid Yorkshire Trust. As I have already said, I love travelling so I left to become a Locum Sonographer and spent a couple of years travelling the country working as far away as the Outer Hebrides, Cornwall and Brighton. In 2019 I decided to settle back in a job close to home and that is when we started planning Miracle Within. I still work some shifts within the NHS as I believe this is the best place to keep up to date with current practices.

What does Miracle Within mean to you

Miracle Within is so much more than a job to me. It means so much to me when I hear people praising our service. We are a very close team and we all work together to be the best we can be. I am one of the lucky ones who has a job that they love.

Georgia Sutcliffe

Co-owner and Lead Receptionist

Myself and what I enjoy

I live with my Husband Luke and our lovely Cockapoo Merl. I love spending time with my family and going on adventures with Merl. Our family loves to play board games but it can get quite competitive! My favourite way to unwind is by snuggling up under a blanket and watching a film. During the summer I work at a few car shows and I love to see all the vintage and classic vehicles!

My career in admin

During my first year studying Business Enterprise & Entrepreneurship, I started working part-time for Classic Shows, a classic vehicle event organiser. I loved the role so much that I transitioned into an apprenticeship there for my second year. Working in a small business allowed me to gain hands-on experience across finance, marketing, and event logistics. I eventually progressed to Office Manager, where I led a small team and managed event admissions. This diverse business background gave me the foundational knowledge needed to launch Miracle Within. When Pamela suggested opening a baby scan clinic, it was a scary but thrilling opportunity that aligned perfectly with my passion for business. Today, Pamela oversees the clinical operations, while I manage the administration and front-of-house reception.

What does Miracle Within mean to you

They say when you love what you do, you don’t work a day in your life! Miracle Within is a family business, and running it side-by-side with my mum, Pamela, has created an unbreakable bond. The rest of our incredible team feels like family, too. Because we only have one sonographer and receptionist working at a time, we don’t always see each other in a group setting. However, when we get together for team outings, we get on like a house on fire! We have a truly amazing team, and I believe this warmth and dedication is reflected in our wonderful customer reviews.

Sonographer

Myself and what I enjoy

I live with my husband and our two children Tilly and George. Tilly and George keep us very busy and we love to go exploring with them. We also really enjoy spending time with our family and friends including Tilly’s “Girl Gang” at pre-school who have adopted George! They love to meet up and play at parks or each other’s houses and it allows the grown-ups to relax together too.

My career as a Sonographer

Having graduated as a Radiographer from Liverpool University I then went on to complete my post graduate degree at Salford University and qualified as a Sonographer in 2013. I worked at Pennine NHS Trust as a Sonographer for 8 years before moving part time and working for NMU, where I am based at Tameside Hospital. I met Pamela while working at Pennine NHS Trust and when she opened Miracle Within, I was very excited to join her team!

What does Miracle Within mean to you

I absolutely love working as a Sonographer and being part of the Miracle Within team. Being able to share so many special moments with my patients such as providing reassurance and helping them meet their baby for the first time is something I look forward to everyday and will always love most about my job.

Myself and what I enjoy

I am a married Mum of two grown up girls. I am very family orientated, and we spend a lot of time together. My main hobby is travelling, and I have been lucky enough to visit many lovely places around the world. I also enjoy going to the cinema and reading. My friends are very important to me and I enjoy a lunch out to catch up with them.

My career as a Sonographer

I also work at Mid Yorkshire NHS Trust, and I have been qualified as a sonographer in obstetrics, gynaecology and general medicine for 13 years. Being a sonographer is a job that I love!

What does Miracle Within mean to you

Miracle Within to me means people can come see a friendly face and have their scan in a relaxed environment. It’s a pleasure to share specials moments with families, like hearing baby’s heartbeat for the first time or the buzz to find out baby’s gender.

I have a daughter and a black and white cat named Spotty. I love spending time with my daughter and family, because they are very important to me. I enjoy eating different kinds of food and trying new restaurants, but I also love a cosy night in with a takeaway and a good movie. Spending quality time with the people I care about is what I enjoy most. These simple moments help me relax.

Jess

Receptionist

Myself and what I enjoy

I'm studying for my Integrated Master’s Degree at university—a challenge I am absolutely loving every second of! When I am not focused on my studies or welcoming families at the clinic, I love staying active and making memories. You will usually find me enjoying live music, dancing, or heading out on exciting weekend adventures with my partner, as well as squeezing in as much quality time as possible with my close friends and family.

My career in admin

My career path has been beautifully diverse, spanning roles in hospitality to working as a Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching assistant at a local secondary school. Miracle Within marks my first steps into administration, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to start than alongside this wonderful team.

What does Miracle Within mean to you

The team here is incredibly warm and welcoming, and our clients are just as lovely. Every day brings a unique energy, but the absolute highlight is witnessing the pure, unfiltered joy on parents' faces when they see their little ones for the very first time. It is a truly heart-warming experience that never gets old. Every family walks through our doors with a story, and I feel immensely grateful and privileged to play a small part in such a milestone moment in their lives.
